Eurofins Expert Services performs testing of heat retaining stoves, wood-burning heating stoves and sauna stoves, and cooking ovens to verify the features of the stoves for CE marking or for the local admission of the exporting country.

CE marking rights by testing
Eurofins Expert Services is operating as a Notified Body (NB 0809) according to the building product act for heat retaining stoves, wood-burning heating stoves and sauna stoves and cooking stoves.
CE marking requires testing according to the standards by a Notified Body. Marking became compulsory when building product act became valid in July 2013.
Other measuring for local requirements
In addition to testing for CE marking, we also perform other testing, for example total hydrocarbon, nitric oxides and particle emission testing. These are required in many countries in Europe. For the heat admission of heat retaining stoves testing, which is a required test for German markets, Eurofins Expert Services has built a calorimetric test space according to the German directions.
Testing of solid fuel fired boilers
Eurofins Expert Services performs testing for solid fuel fired boilers to verify the features according to EN 303-5.
Boilers under 70kW in power are tested in Jyväskylä and larger boilers together with Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences in the boiler laboratory of Bio-economics institute in Saarijärvi.
Standard EN 303-5 is a voluntary standard but it is widely used in Europe. Standard is valid for boilers that have the maximum power of 500kW.
