The Sale of VTT Expert Services Ltd and Labtium Ltd to Eurofins Ltd Confirmed

The transaction announced by VTT in January is now completed.

On 2 January 2018, VTT announced that it will sell VTT Expert Services Ltd and Labtium Ltd to Eurofins Scientific Group. The ownership of VTT Expert Services Ltd and Labtium Ltd will pass to Eurofins from 1 June 2018 on. Their operations will continue as a part of Eurofins company that will develop them according to its strategy.

“VTT Expert Services Ltd and Labtium Oy supply commercial testing, inspection and certification services. These services are not sufficiently connected to VTT’s current strategic goal that is to support innovation by science-based solutions and technology development. The development of these companies will continue as part of Eurofins Scientific Group and matches well with its goals”, says Antti Vasara, President & CEO of VTT.
