Type Approval of Building Products

Type Approval of building products is a voluntary approval procedure for building products used in Finland. Eurofins Expert Services Oy is authorized by the Finnish Ministry of Environ­ment to issue type Approvals for building products.

Finnish Type Approval allows the manufacturer to demonstrate that the product can be used in certain construc­tion because it complies with the legislative requirements set for it. With valid Type Approval, the builder can show that the product is suitable for the intended use when applying for a building permit or in connection with building control.

Type Approval is based on the Type Approval decrees issued by the Finnish Ministry of the Environment for different kinds of building products. Read more at the Finnish Ministry of Environment site
